a. Intern Program
Highfield Street Baptist takes on interns from Crandall University on a yearly basis through the Youth Leadership Certificate program. The Youth Leadership Certificate is a four-year program designed to be taken concurrently with any Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree at Crandall University. Through its mix of academic and internship courses, the program seeks to produce informed and experienced volunteer youth leaders who have a passion for working with youth. The higher years of this program involve the church giving a significant honorarium as a gift towards the student’s academics. b. Summer Employment
Highfield Street Baptist applies for federal and provincial government grants on a yearly basis. We have been privileged to receive 2-3 grants per year. As such, we seek to hire students who are completing a full-time year in school and are intending to enter a full-time year of school for a 10 week period with 40 hours per week.
Those hired are responsible to build relationships with local community families and offer day camps that will best serve our demographics. Those camps have included, but are not limited to, a church hosted Daily Vacation Bible School, a short-term (week) mission trip with youth, Creation Camp with young children, Adventure Camps, and visitation and Senior’s luncheons, or English as a Second / Another Language.
